I love Harry Potter. No, seriously, I LOVE HARRY POTTER. I’ve read each book at least 3 times. I’ve read book 1 about 20 times or so. As a matter of fact, I have two of the books on my desk for quick reference.
BOOK 5 SPOILER: I’ve read the prophecy hundreds of times. I change my mind on its meaning almost every time I read it.
Yeah, it’s like that.
So, the story…
Yesterday was a day spent in true Chris fashion. I woke up, ran a couple quick errands, then got home as quickly as possible to play Zelda. Sweet, sweet, Zelda. After watering all of the Island Koroks, I went upstairs to smell the savory mix of stewed beef, tomatoes, and a miriad of herbs and spices. Milca’s mom was making spinach raviolis from scratch. The pasta, the filling, the works. What’s really great is that I had to go to rehearsal, so I would be getting home just in time to need to reheat the raviolis. Yay.
Rehearsal went well, but it has been fairly tiring doing the same first 5 seconds of a scene over and over and over again because we need to figure out the best way to arrange citronella candles. Ugh. I’m loving my character. Just need to be off book by Friday.
I get home to find that the whole family is still there, just finishing dessert. I make my rounds and say hello to all the family members, then Milca says to me, “Sit down.”
Aww, crap.
“I need to tell you something, and you need to sit down.”
Crap, crap.
“Vanessa called.”
Wait, not crap. ???
“She has two extra tickets for tomorrow night to see the premiere of Goblet of Fire.”
This is when I proceeded to crap my pants.
Sure enough, I called Vanessa, and she really is the bomb. She has scored so big on Loop points, it’s unreal. I’m on cloud nine, and can’t express my giddiness and gratitude.
Vanessa rocks!
