Previously, In The Loop

Now that my hair is the Loop circa 1998, it makes me look back on where I was then, and where I am now. Quite a lot has happened since then In The Loop. In a nutshell, here’s the basics for you.

Then: Had a girlfriend that was 3 years younger than I, who ripped my heart out, mocked it on the floor, kicked some dirt at it, then had the audacity to make claims concerning our relationship that were completely false, and served little to no purpose.

Now: Fiancé is 3 years older, holds my heart in her hands with loving care, and is the one person I can completely bare my soul to without heitation or remorse.

Then: No car. Rode busses, bummed rides, walked, rode bike.

Now: 1993 Intrepid with several bumper stickers that clearly label me as a dork (which is to say that one of them has a web address on it, and another has a movie quote that I had custom made)

Then: Lived with parents.

Now: Moved four times, lived with 8 different people, and currently live with my fiancé and her mother.

Then: Insecure, unsure of myself, and dangerously naive.

Now: Hit rock bottom a few years ago. Lost just about all my friends, hated my job, where I lived, my daily routine, and just about everything else about my life. Slowly but surely, much like most who hit rock bottom, I climbed back up to the point where I am today. Happy, in love, content with my life, and focused on achieving my goals.

Then: Wanted to be a teacher, started PCC, never did homework.

Now: Left PCC because school was lame and I was working full time. Didn’t see the point, really, and my grades suffered. Now I’m back on track, still aiming to be a teacher, and getting decent grades, too. I actually do my homework now (several teachers from The Loop’s past have just gone into cardiac episodes as a result).

Then: Had a pathetic excuse for a website where my immaturity and lack of web design skills were made apparent to the whole world.

Now: Have a not-too-pathetic website where my immaturity is still made apparent to the whole world, but the templates in blogger make up for my lack of skills and make things all pretty for me.
